Sika Grout Fluidifier

SikaGrout Fluidifier is a dual component, powder admixture formulated to achieve mild plasticising effect with slight extended set time for general purpose grouts and mortars.

USE

SikaGrout Fluidifier is suitable for:

• Lean sanded grouts to fill voids and support.
• Grouting where load bearing is not required.
• Pre-placed aggregates.
• Grouts requiring pumping into hard to reach places.
• Cement or Cement/fly ash for rock grouting or soil stabilisation.

Dispensing

To achieve a good technical performance of the product, “thorough mixing to dissolve the bag is essential”. This can be achieved by either:

1. Introducing and premixing the product with initial gauging water at high revolutions of the mixer drum for 60-90 seconds and then adding other mix constituents.
2. Or add SikaGrout® Fluidifier before batching the grout. The batching sequence should allow for a portion of sand (approximately 20%) to be added and mixed for 30-60 seconds to assist the dispersion of the product. Batching can then proceed as “normal”.

Recommended Dosage

Typical dosage is 5 kg/m³ (i.e 1 bag/cubic metre) for general-purpose grout. An increase in dose rate is permissible for increased fluidity within specified limits for various combinations of materials or brands of cement. Laboratory and field trials are essential in determining the optimum dosage.
