wedi Building Board
The wedi Building Board is a 100% waterproof tile backer and construction board built around a blue extruded polystyrene (XPS) rigid foam core, coated both sides with a cement-based resin and fully embedded fibreglass mesh reinforcement. It provides an ideal, even substrate for thin-set adhered tile, natural stone, mosaic and plaster, and can be bonded to virtually any stable load-bearing substrate. Lightweight yet strong, it is widely used in wet areas such as showers and steam rooms, as well as on walls, floors and benchtops.
