The Click & Seal Drain System
Wedi's new Click & Seal drain is a universal system that works with every Fundo shower base. One drain body compression-fits onto standard 50mm waste pipes (PVC, ABS, or cast iron) — no glue and no plumbing licence required. The grate adjusts vertically (up to 32mm) and laterally (up to 5mm) for precise tile-level finishing. Every new Click & Seal shower base ships with the drain body pre-packaged.

Apply 610 as a continuous 10mm bead along all board joints and into the shower base perimeter channel. Spread excess flat with the Wedi corner putty knife. Cover all screw/washer heads with sealant extending 25mm over the washer edges.
Apply 321 Superbond Lite with a 10x10mm notched trowel to both the subfloor and the back of the shower base for a full bond.

How many sausages of Wedi 610 do I need? — As a rule of thumb: 1 sausage per shower base, 1 sausage per full-size board (2500x1200mm), half a sausage per small board (1500x900mm). A standard shower needs about 3 sausages total.
Do I still need tile adhesive with a Wedi shower base? — Yes. Use Wedi 321 Superbond Lite to bond the base to the subfloor (apply with a 10x10mm notched trowel to both surfaces). The same product is then used for tiling over the system.
