Chat with Ask TradieCart, our AI specialistDrizoro Maxmesh is an alkali-resistant woven fibreglass mesh reinforcement designed for use between coats of cementitious waterproofing membranes such as Drizoro Maxseal Flex, Maxseal Flex Express and Maxelastic. The mesh bridges hairline cracks, joints and corners, and dramatically improves the tensile strength, fatigue resistance and crack-bridging capacity of the waterproofing system.
Applications
- Reinforcement of flexible cementitious waterproof coatings (Maxseal Flex, Maxseal Flex Express, Maxelastic)
- Bridging cracks, cold joints, corners and pipe penetrations
- Reinforcement of plaster mortars and rendering systems on facades
- Crack-bridging in concrete, masonry and brickwork repairs
Advantages
- Greatly improves tensile strength and impact resistance of the coating
- Excellent chemical stability against alkalis and UV rays
- Flexible and easy to cut — works on irregular substrates
- Open weave allows full impregnation between coats — does not form a barrier
- Non-irritating on skin contact
Application
Apply the first coat of the waterproof coating or mortar. While still fresh, embed the Maxmesh strip and press firmly with a brush, roller or trowel to remove air and ensure full impregnation. Overlap mesh strips by at least 50mm side-by-side, and 100mm at joints or cracks. Apply the second coat once the open time of the first has elapsed.
Storage
Store rolls vertically in a dry, covered place, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources, between 5°C and 40°C. Storage life is indefinite in original unopened packaging.
