MAXREST is a one-component structural repair mortar for quick-setting and shrinkage-compensated repairs on concrete and masonry structures. Formulated with special cements, additives, and selected aggregates, it has a thixotropic consistency ideal for vertical and overhead repairs without formwork. Excellent adhesion, mechanical strength higher than concrete, non-shrink, odour-free and solvent-free.
APPLICATION FIELDS
- Restoration of concrete elements: pillars, lintels, raincaps, architectural surfaces exposed to harsh conditions.
- Repair of honeycombs, cracks, fissures and damaged prefabricated concrete structures.
- Patching of cold joints and shaping concave corners prior to waterproofing in pools, basements, reservoirs.
- Structural strengthening of concrete elements (EN 1504-3, Principle 4 SS / Method 4.4).
- Restoration of passivity for rebars on concrete (EN 1504-3, Principle 7 RP).
ADVANTAGES
- Quick setting time: 15 to 20 minutes — single-phase, agile repair process.
- High adhesion to concrete and reinforcement; no bonding agent or primer required.
- Mechanical properties comparable or higher than concrete.
- Good thixotropy — successive layers from 10 to 30 mm without slump or formwork.
- Non-shrink: avoids cracking risk on setting.
- Odour-free — ideal for badly ventilated places (water tanks, shafts, sewers).
- Chloride-free, non-toxic, cement-based and solvent-free.
- One-component: just add water and apply by trowel.
HOW TO USE
Mix MAXREST with 14–16% clean water (3.5–4.0 L per 25 kg bag) using a low-speed drill (400–600 rpm) for 2–3 minutes until smooth and lump-free. Allow to rest 1 minute, remix briefly, then apply by trowel to a clean, dampened substrate. Apply layers between 10 mm and 30 mm thick. For multi-layer applications, scratch each previous layer once set (10–15 minutes) before applying the next.
CONSUMPTION
Estimated consumption is 1.67 kg/m² per mm thickness. A 25 kg bag fills approximately 15 litres (0.6 L per 1 kg of product).
