Flowcrete Flowfast 108 Damp Primer 20kg Drum MMA Primer
Flowcrete Flowfast 108 Damp Primer 20kg Drum
Flowfast 108 Damp Primer is a low-viscosity, violet-blue, 2-component reactive resin based on methyl methacrylate (MMA). After polymerisation, most of the violet-blue colour disappears.
Uses
A special prime coat for damp concrete and screed substrates prior to overcoating with MMA resin floor products (Flowfast and Deckshield Rapide systems). Bonds to new and old concrete with a relative humidity up to 97% (BS8203, surface dry).
Note: Curing and adhesion tests are strongly recommended on the substrate prior to general use on site.
Features & Benefits
- Improved adhesion to damp concrete and cementitious substrates
- Fast and safe curing, even at low temperatures (0°C to +35°C)
- Provides good adhesion for subsequent MMA coats
- Low VOC (<140 g/L) — Green Star Design & As Built / Interiors compliant

Mixing & Application
Flowfast 108 Damp Primer must be carefully stirred to redistribute paraffin, then mixed with Flowfast Catalyst Peroxan BPPLvr (50% dibenzoyl peroxide). Catalyst dosage depends on temperature: ~1.0% at +30°C, ~1.5% at +20°C, ~3.0% at +10°C, ~4.0% at 0°C, ~6.0% at −5°C.
Apply by short-pile paint roller (or notched rubber squeegee for large areas) at 0.3–0.5 kg/m². Maintain a continuous resin film. On extremely porous substrates a second prime coat may be required. For overcoating with thin coatings, apply within 4–6 hours to avoid adhesion problems.
Cleaning
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with Flowfast 405 Cleaner or solvents (MEK / Acetone) immediately after application. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Environment & Health
Follow the appropriate Occupational Health and Safety guidelines applicable to the location where the application is undertaken. The Safety Data Sheet must be read and understood before use.
