The Self-Closing Hook Assembly (part no. PHT2-08-A) is a service spare part for the Makinex Powered Hand Truck (PHT2-140). It is shown as item 12 on the PHT2-00 complete assembly of the PHT service exploded parts diagram, fitted one per machine and flagged by Makinex as a spare part.
The same hook assembly is also used as item 4 in the optional Extendable Nose Hook Assembly (PHT2-08), so it serves both the standard machine and the extendable nose hook attachment.
The Makinex Powered Hand Truck (PHT2-140) is a universal materials handling solution that enables one person to safely lift and load equipment or bulky objects weighing up to 140kg (309lbs) on and off trucks and trailers. It comes with a hook attachment for lifting, moving and loading small equipment and machinery such as water pumps, generators, air compressors and plate compactors.

Operation
The PHT Attachments Operator's Manual instructs the operator to insert the jib hook into the load anchor and slide the hook-catch tab upwards to lock the hook. Ensure that the hook-catch is in the locked position before lifting any objects.
