Special fast-setting hydraulic binder for the preparation of rapid setting and drying (24 hours) screeds with controlled shrinkage.
Mapecem is mixed on site with graded aggregates (0-8 mm) and water to form floating and bonded screeds on both existing and new slabs, for the installation of ceramic tiles, stone, wood, resilient or any other flooring where rapid drying and immediate re-laying is required. Screeds are set to light foot traffic after 2-3 hours and ready for ceramic tiles and natural stone after just 3 hours.
Technical Data
Recommended mixing ratio: 350-450 kg of Mapecem per 1 m³ of graded aggregates (0-8 mm) with 80-160 kg of water, depending on aggregate moisture.
Mix per 20 kg bag: 80-100 kg of 0-8 mm graded aggregate (13-15 shovelfuls) with 4-8 kg of water.
Open time of the mixture: 20-30 minutes.
Application temperature range: from +5°C to +35°C.
Set to light foot traffic: after 2-3 hours.
Ready for use: 24 hours.
Waiting time before installation: 3 hours for ceramic tiles and natural stone; 24 hours for resilient coverings and wood.
Residual moisture after 24 hours: less than 2%.
Colour: grey.
Storage: 12 months.
Consumption: 3.5-4.5 kg/m² per cm of thickness.
Packaging: 20 kg bags.
