Bulk pack of 6 boards. Marmox SoundBoard is a 10mm tile backer board that reduces the impact (footfall) noise transmitted from a tiled floor into the room below. It combines a waterproof XPS core, fibreglass-reinforced polymer cement faces, and a sound-attenuating SBR rubber foam layer bonded to one side. The rubber decouples the tiled surface from the substrate so sound waves have no medium to travel through, delivering an impact sound reduction of approximately 20 dB on a tiled floor. The thicker 10mm version provides greater thermal insulation than the 6mm board.

Installation Overview
Fix the boards rubber-side down to the floor with a thin bed of flexible tile adhesive or Marmox MSP360. Leave ~4mm gap between the board edge and the wall, filled with a visco-elastic adhesive to prevent flanking sound. Tape the joints and tile as normal. When used under wood/laminate flooring, fix the cement face down so the rubber side faces up.
