Double-Sided Butyl Tape
TREMproof FBM Plus Double Sided Tape is a self-adhering waterproofing sealing tape. It primarily consists of butyl rubber as its main ingredient. Possessing a remarkably strong adhesive force to various surfaces, it exhibits exceptional weather resistance, resistance to aging and impermeability to water. This double sided tape serves the purposes of sealing, damping and protecting the adherent surface. It is solvent-free, eliminating any possibility of shrinkage and showcases outstanding capability in accommodating thermal expansion, contraction and mechanical deformation of the adherent surface.
Usage/Purpose
TREMproof FBM Plus DS Tape is used for sealing overlapping transitions of the TREMproof FBM Plus Roll applications.

Limitations
- Substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, laitance, oil, grease or other contaminants that may affect adhesion.
- Adequate pressure must be applied to ensure full contact and adhesion of the tape to the substrate.
- Application to damp, wet or contaminated surfaces may result in reduced bond performance.
- Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C. Reduced adhesion may occur at lower temperatures.
- Product is designed for use as part of the TREMproof FBM Plus system and should be used in accordance with system installation guidelines.
Installation
- Clean the base material to ensure the surface of the bonded base material is free of floating ash and water stain, or wipe the surface with a rag.
- Take the adhesive tape with appropriate length, tear off the release liner, use a pressing plate to roll the base material and adhesive tape to remove the air and bond tightly.
Storage & Shelf Life
Shelf life 12 months. Store in a well-ventilated and dry location. Storage temperature should be below 45°C and kept away from direct sunlight, rain and high temperature. Avoid contact with acids, alkali, oils and organic solvents.
